Taylor Swift Inspired Decor: Lover Album
With all the hoopla of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour (which no, sadly I didn’t get tickets to) I thought no better time than now to play around with some of her eras and their aesthetics. In today’s blog I’m styling some fun home decor pieces inspired by Taylor’s Lover Album. While all of her albums are stellar and choosing a favorite feels like choosing a favorite child to me, I thought Lover would be a perfect place to start! The dreamy pastel hues and overall girly feeling of this album just make me happy. As always, each item will be linked down below. Swifties, enjoy!
One of the biggest ways you can add color to any space is wallpaper! This willow tree wallpaper in blush reminds me of the ethereal color palette of Lover. This specific brand of wallpaper is available to the trade only, and can be ordered directly through me.
While Taylor and London native Joe Alwyn recently broke up, (RIP) you can’t do a Lover mood board and not include some reference to her iconic song, London Boy. This London coffee table book would be the perfect addition to any living room. Besides gorgeous photos of not-so-touristy spots in the city, you can also expect to read some great tips for visiting.
One of my favorite ways to cozy up any room is through candles! Whether it be scented, or tapered candles, I don’t discriminate. These light blue spiral tapered candles are so playful, and instantly reminded me of Lover. These are perfect for hosting dinner parties, cozying up a corner in a room, or even arranged in clusters inside an empty fireplace. I paired these specific candles with these bronze multi-height tapered candle holders. Because of the spiral details in the candle, I thought sleek design in the candle holder would be a nice compliment.
You can’t discuss Lover’s aesthetic and not include at least one heart pillow! If designed in excess, too much imagery can come off as cheesy or juvenile. However, I believe subtle imagery mixed in with solid patterns and textures can add just the right pop of personality. I would use this as an accent pillow on a big cozy white couch.
“We could leave the Christmas lights up ‘til January.” It would be a sin to not include twinkly lights in this list. These solar string lights really elevate any outdoor space, and are perfect for hosting.
